When evaluating a calibration provider, verify the Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) values on the accreditation certificate against your measurement uncertainty requirements. Two ISO 17025 labs may both list “dimensional calibration” on their scope, but the uncertainty budgets, and therefore the instruments they can support, can differ significantly.
